Age:
Junior High Aged; 13-16 years
Information:
This group is designed for Junior High aged children between the ages of 13 and 16 years of age. The group was originally based at Christchurch East School, but following a successful programme at Phillipstown School in the Summer of 2010 the decision was made to switch the programme to Phillipstown.
On average there are approximately 7 participants each day on this programme, some of these are staffed on a 1:1 basis, whilst others are based on a 1:2 (staff:child) ratio (depending upon the needs of the participant).
The programmes are designed to enable continuity for children during the school holidays whilst also providing valuable respite care for parents.
Programmes run on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday (9am until 3pm) during each of the school holidays, unless the day falls on a statutory holiday, and are designed to get the children to undertake activities which put them into a social environment as well as learning and developing new skills.
