Grocers Charity Ball Trust chooses Autism
Autism New Zealand has been chosen by the Grocery Charity Ball Trust as their charity of choice for their 2015 charity ball.
“Autism New Zealand is very excited about the opportunity with it being the single largest fundraising opportunity the organisation has had for some time,” says Autism New Zealand Chief Executive, Dane Dougan.
"Our real life experiences resonated with the Grocery Charity Ball Trustees, ” he says.
"One of the feelings communicated to us regularly is one of loneliness when a family member is diagnosed with Autism. Autism New Zealand provides genuine hope, support and guidance and we are really motivated to take this to a new level.
“Funds raised will support our planned resource centres which are central to enhancing much needed support for families and individuals living with Autism".
"Support from the 2015 Grocers Ball gives us a real chance to make an important difference in our communities and support all who are impacted by Autism," he says.
"I would formally like to thank the Trustees choosing Autism New Zealand as their charity ball recipient for 2015, and we look forward to working with the Trust to make this a successful event." Dane Dougan says.
