IHC Library: Free book scheme update

The Freemasons Charity has kindly agreed to fund the free book scheme for another year.  IHC Library are also now able to offer a free book to families of children in the 13 to 24 year old age group. The book is a New Zealand publication called "Believing in Better : Steps to an Ordinary Life for your Family Member with a Disability: A Workbook" by Lorna Sullivan for the Belonging Initiative.
The Belonging Initiative is a community development partnership between four small agencies: Standards Plus, Parent and Family Resource Centre Inc., Parent to Parent Inc. and Family Action Support Team Inc.
The book contains useful worksheets to enable planning and making choices. If you have a child with a disability between the ages of 13 and 24, you can apply for this book online from the IHC website: www.ihc.org.nz/information-for-families/free-book-project/ or email librarian@ihc.org.nz.
