Membership 2014 - 2015

Autism New Zealand has recently completed a significant organisational review undertaken with the purpose of strengthening our ability to deliver services and building a sustainable future.

Along with canvassing thoughts from existing members of Autism New Zealand, the review also considered the best way to offer services to our community. As a result of the review Autism New Zealand has restructured our branch network into three regional hubs:

  • Northern – covering Northland, Auckland, and Bay of Plenty;
  • Central – covering Gisborne, Manawatu, Taupo, Taranaki, Waikato, Whanganui, Wairarapa, Wellington and Hawkes Bay
  • Southern – covering Nelson/Marlborough, Otago, Southland, West Coast and Canterbury

The hubs will streamline our community’s access to the important services and programmes we offer.

We have also reviewed our membership structure, and although we receive very little government funding, we are committed to making Autism New Zealand accessible to everyone in the community.

As a result of the review we are pleased to be able to announce a new general level of membership that is now free. In addition to the free membership level, we’ve created a number of fee-paying memberships for people and organisations that require more specialised and individualised support. Please see the table below for a more detailed breakdown of membership benefits:
