Robert Mackay

Robert Mackay is a young professional advocate for people with disabilities as well as a long time humanitarian worker who has worked with many non-governmental organisations over the past decade including with Red Cross New Zealand, the Peace Foundation, the United Nations Association of New Zealand and the White Ribbon Campaign.

He was diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome at the age of 6 and from the age of 14 made a commitment to educate others about the condition and how they could help those on the spectrum.

Robert has spent the past 3 years fully involved in the disability sector fulfilling various roles with the Ministry Of Health and the Wellington City Council's Accessibility Advisory Group.

He currently works with Emerge Supported Employment Trust helping people with disabilities find employment.
