Contact your local GP for referral to Paediatrician  up to age 15 years or CAMHS (Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services) if young person is over 15 years. Tel 03 5461800

WINZ - Work & Income NZ – contact local office for an appointment.

You may be entitled to Child Disability Allowance (a fortnightly payment non-taxable and not means tested) up to age 16. From age16 your young person may be entitled to other benefits. This is variable and subject to change. Please contact your local WINZ office.

Support Works provide a ‘needs assessment’ to assist people identify their support needs and design an individual package to meet those needs including funding. They may provide funding towards the costs of Carer Support, so that you can have someone look after the person with ASD to give you a break.
