The Abuse in Care Royal Commission of Inquiry
The Abuse in Care Royal Commission of Inquiry is running a hui for people with a learning disability on: Monday 29 March 2021 at 9:30am in Palmerston North.
People First New Zealand are working with the Royal Commission’s Learning Disability Team to deliver the hui to people with a learning disability “Nothing about us without us”.
Sue Hobbs and the Learning Disability Project Team will talk about the Abuse in Care Inquiry. There will also be a workshop at the hui on what abuse and neglect means and how to tell someone if you have been abused.

Autism New Zealand is pleased to announce that we are offering a new professional development programme that can be applied for through this pilot fund ‘Tilting the Seesaw for Teacher Aides’. Teacher aides can apply for professional learning that supports the development of their skills and knowledge in a way that contributes to the vision of their school or kura and the learning needs of students and ākonga.
